Taste Posavje/Flavours of the Lower Sava Valley – the Festival of Wine and Food
If you consider yourself a gourmand, you should not miss the street Festival of Wine and Food (named ‘Okusi Posavja’ in Slovene) held each September in Krško Old Town.
A rich selection of wines and culinary delights and the overall great variety of everything else on offer take this Festival to another level. Without exception, the stands offer local, fresh and tasty portions of street food.
The winemakers of the Lower Sava Valley will have you taste their choicest red and white wines ranging from Pinot Noir, Blue Franconian, Welschriesling, Sauvignon and Chardonnay to tasty sparkling wines and, naturally, cviček.
And, last but not least, there is always musical entertainment on the main stage!
