Street Festival “Taste Posavje” 2026
The Taste Posavje Festival will once again bring the old town centre of Krško to life, inviting visitors to enjoy a unique culinary experience in the heart of the city. The event will gather outstanding local providers united under the “Taste Posavje” brand, showcasing the very best flavours of the Posavje region.
Date: Friday, 4th September 2026, from 5:00 PM onwards
Location: Old Town Centre of Krško
The festival will focus on fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients, transformed into modern culinary creations that emphasize quality, authenticity, and respect for local tradition. Visitors will be able
to enjoy exceptional cuisine, carefully selected wines, premium sparkling wines from Posavje winemakers, and craft beers produced by local breweries.
A special highlight of this year’s festival will be premium sparkling wines, which are becoming an increasingly important part of Posavje’s gastronomic identity. The festival will offer an
excellent opportunity to discover top-quality local sparkling wines, admired for their freshness, elegance, and the contemporary approach of Posavje winemakers.
The Taste Posavje Festival is not only a culinary event, but also a celebration of connection between local producers, winemakers, restaurateurs, and visitors who appreciate high-quality local food, a sustainable approach, and an authentic experience of the Posavje region.
The pleasant evening atmosphere will be enhanced by
the band Cherry Wine, whose energy and music will further enrich the festival evening in the old town centre of Krško.
This year, the event will also be included in
the Slovenia Green Events initiative, confirming its commitment to sustainable event organization and responsible environmental practices. The organizers will place special emphasis on waste reduction, the use of local ingredients and short supply chains, and the creation of a sustainable festival experience that supports the local community and regional offer.
