Circular Cycling Route to Kostanjevica Island Town

Cycling route begins at camper stop next to Matija Gubec Stadium. This easy route is full of attractions and suitable for families. Take the paved cycling path through the fields until you reach the town of Drnovo. Visit the archaeological site of Roman-era settlement called Neviodunum. Continue past picturesque Pannonian villages until you reach the roundabout at Brod v Podbočju. Rest your eyes on the vineyards and hill slopes then continue along the edge of Krakovo forest to Kostanjevica na Krki. The only Slovenian town build on an island offers numerous attractions which you can discover from your bike: wooden bridges, architecture and Krka river. In the summer, take a dive into Krka or go on a boat tour. Return to the starting point following the same route.
