You are warmly invited to the Family Picnic in the Park, a fun-filled event for all generations, taking place in Krško City Park.
This year, we are once again preparing an exciting afternoon and evening programme for children, families, and all visitors who enjoy spending time surrounded by music, creativity, and positive energy. Guests will be entertained by the popular Fisherman Pepe, music and dance performances, creative workshops, and a wide selection of food and drinks.

“Bring One – Take One” Exchange Corner implemented by Kostak, d. d. or the Komunala sector
Board games, books, and toys can become forgotten favourites or simply be outgrown. At our “Bring One – Take One” exchange corner, you can swap them for something new that sparks your curiosity, imagination, or joy.
Items you bring must be clean, undamaged, complete, and fully functional. As a general rule, please donate only items that you would be happy to receive yourself.
How the Exchange Works
- For every accepted item you bring, you may choose one item to take home.
- Each participant may bring a maximum of five items.
- Participation is entirely voluntary.
Guidelines for Donated Items
Board Games
Games must include all instructions, game boards, dice, cards, and playing pieces. Please ensure that all cardboard components are intact and that the box is in good condition.
Books
Only clean and undamaged books will be accepted. Books must not contain notes, missing or torn pages, or signs of mould.
Toys
Toys must be clean and well preserved. Electronic toys must be in working order and supplied with functioning batteries.

Family Picnic in the Park – Once Again Following the Principles of a Low-Waste Event
This year’s Family Picnic in the Park will once again follow zero-waste principles, aiming to minimise waste generation and ensure that materials are properly separated for recycling, reuse, and circular use.
How Will We Achieve This?
- Through consistent waste separation at designated recycling stations.
- With the help of our Green Patrol team, who will assist visitors in sorting waste correctly.
- Through a programme that promotes reuse, sustainable workshops, and item exchange.
- By using reusable deposit cups and reducing single-use packaging.
- A public drinking fountain will be available on-site – bring your own cup, mug, or reusable water bottle.
Why Do We Focus on Waste Reduction?
Because we want to create enjoyable events that respect the environment and encourage responsible use of resources. We believe that every visitor can contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable future through their actions.
Sustainable Mobility
You can travel to the event by local bus or park at the two-level parking area in Zaton or at the parking lot next to the Krško Municipal Building.
