November 1st - how many candles will you light? How about a commemorative stone for a good cause and a clean environment?
The first of November is approaching, the day when we remember the loss of our loved ones and the day when we visit cemeteries en masse and light candles in memory of the deceased.
In the cemeteries, an impenetrable multitude of lights are lit, but when they go out, they turn into a mountain of plastic.
It is the custom of visitors to light candles on the graves of relatives.
It is encouraging that, despite the large consumption, we think more sustainably every year as a society.
We wish that most people would also think about the environment on this noble holiday and change the plastic candle for an environmentally friendly wooden candle or a commemorative stone for a good cause and a clean environment.
For a stone, you can make a voluntary contribution, which will be fully donated to the Krško Coexistence Society.
Stones are available at:
- the headquarters of Kostak,
- in Cvetličarna Lilija in Leskovac pri Krško, and
- in Cvetličarna Kerin in Krško and in Senovo.
Wooden candles are available at the headquarters of the KNOF Institute (Cesta krških žrtev 132a) and flower shops.
Let's be more responsible for the environment this year, let's change our habits.
