HIKING IN THE KRŠKO DESTINATION
The Krško destination offers exceptional opportunities for unforgettable outdoor experiences, including a diverse selection of hiking trails. With their unique and rich content, these trails provide authentic experiences combined with the region’s wine & culinary offerings and accommodation options.
The described hiking trails are classified into two categories:
EASY, FAMILY HIKING
These are technically undemanding, well-maintained, and marked trails with up to 200 m of elevation gain, often thematically designed. They are intended primarily for families with children, offering opportunities to relax, learn, and discover the area’s natural and cultural features together.

TREKKING – MID-MOUNTAIN TRAILS
These include circular routes, multi-stage long-distance trails, and one-day hikes in the mid-mountain range, with a medium level of difficulty.

Hikers in the destination can choose from various urban and rural accommodations. Particularly suitable for hikers are mountain huts, such as
Koča na Bohorju and Tončkov dom on Lisca in the neighboring municipality of Sevnica.
The destination also offers experienced and licensed mountain guides, operating within two local mountaineering clubs and under the umbrella of the Alpine Association of Slovenia.
